Watch Pastors Korban and Kelly Talk About CWB!
This year we are excited to offer a series of CWB concerts! Come and adore Him as the gifted artists at Blackhawk Ministries use their talents to offering excellent and inspiring worship. We hope that you'll join us for one (or more!) of these events and bring some friends and family with you as well. You'll notice below that the first three events (Children's Musical, One-Act Drama, and Worship Concert) have been folded in to our normal Sunday Morning Gathering routine at Blackhawk. There will only be two performances of each... one at 9:00 am and the other at 10:45 am. And our fourth Christmas presentation will be offered only once on Christmas Eve. We are not ticketing these events this year... so please come early, save your seats, and enjoy the exaltation of our King of kings through the sights and sounds of the season!

Meet Me At The Manger was a great show! We hope and pray that everyone who saw it, enjoyed it and was moved by it as much as we were. Below are jsut a few pictures from the performance!

Christmas Eve Communion Service, December 24
This 40-minute musical summarizes the events of Jesus' birth, death, and resurrection through the perspective of his mother Mary (referred to as Ame, Hebrew for mama). Ame is portrayed in her 70s but as she remembers, she enters those memories as a teen, young adult, and middle-aged woman. Her memory takes her back to an evening where her boy Jeshua (Hebrew for Jesus) asks to hear a bedtime story. The story recounts the events of Jeshua's first birthday... No room at the inn, angelic visitations, the shepherd's worship, the magi's gifts, and the mysterious "star" in the sky.

What will be the same about CWB this year compared to years past?
Blackhawk will host an incredible "offering of worship" through the arts (choir, dance, drama, orchestra, and visual arts). The church family will still have a unique platform to invite family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers to a God-honoring Christmas event. We'll continue to invite special guests (mentally or physically disabled, boys and girls club, the rescue mission, etc.) to our performances; continue to collect canned goods for local agencies that directly assist hungry people; and continue to collect financial offerings to benefit a local mission.
What will be different?
Each event will take place during the three Sunday morning gatherings preceding Christmas as well as our Christmas Eve communion service. Kelly will be preaching full messages on each Sunday and we'll offer normal Children's Ministries and Adult Bible Fellowships.
What benefits will there be in spreading CWB out into the existing Sunday Morning Gathering routine?
- More guests will potentially be un-churched.
- Guests will experience more of a typical Blackhawk Gathering.
- More attainable rehearsal schedule for all volunteers and staff members.
- Less financially strenuous (CWB budget has decreased by 62% since 2002).
CWB frequently draws an audience from the Church of Fort Wayne. How will other churches get the chance to experience CWB without leaving their own church gatherings?
Unfortunately, other churches won't be able to see CWB this year unless they join us in lieu of their own Sunday morning service. Thankfully we can rely on other parts of the body to present Christmas Events in the Fort Wayne area to encourage believers with weekend evening events.
As we have in the past, we are continuing to help try and make a difference in our very own community in the fight against hunger. Please help us by bringing canned goods through December 20th and we will deliver these offerings to the following agencies:

The Need
Surgical infections kill millions of men, women and children in the world?s poorest nations. The World Health Organization states that "a global movement to promote a system-wide approach to safer surgical care could save the lives of millions of people worldwide."
As many as one in four surgeries in remote hospitals and clinics result in death due to post-surgical infection. In the United States, the medical enzymes used to clean instruments make infection a rarity. Sadly, this is not true in less industrialized regions of the world.
The Solution
Real Religion has a five year window to distribute medical enzymes for as many as 50,000,000 surgeries in the parts of the world that need it most.
Medical enzymes are incredibly concentrated, meaning that one barrel contains enough enzymes to clean the instruments for 28,000 surgeries. As each barrel only costs $745.00, the cost for this product is less than 3 cents per surgery! Think how many lives this could potentially save for every dollar spent!
Operation Sav-A-Life is a five year initiative. We are only able to acquire a total of 1,800 barrels at this deep discount (enough enzyme for 50,000,000 surgeries).
