Mission Exposure Trips

Missions Trips are a growing part of Global Ministries at Blackhawk and an opportunity for individuals and families to serve as "Priests that GO" across the street or around the world.

Blackhawk desires to see each person that participates in a mission trip:

-- utilize their gifts to fulfill the Great Commission

-- gain a greater perspective of who God is and His heart for the world

-- have a tangible opportunity to serve people in need including the poorest of the poor

-- become more enabled to share the love of Christ at home

-- pray more effectively for Christians around the world

-- become an active supporter of missionaries and God’s work around the world

--consider full time missionary work

Please prayerfully consider joining one of the teams listed below. For information about upcoming trips or to join a team, contact Jeff Harless at jharless@blackhawkministries.org or 493-7400, ext. 299.

Kenya, East Africa – New Life Home Trust

Every day in Kenya, approximately 300 babies are abandoned. These babies are sometimes left in garbage heaps and on the side of the road. Most do not survive, but some are found and brought to local hospitals or orphanages for a second chance at life. There are an estimated 2.3 million orphans in Kenya. New Life Homes' ministry cares for abandoned and orphaned babies, with priority admission given to babies who are HIV positive.

In 2007, Blackhawk began a partnering relationship with New Life Homes in Kenya. New Life Home Trust operates several children's homes in Kenya with the mission to rescue and care for orphans and vulnerable children. We plan to send teams each year to participate in a variety of ministry needs including ministering to the orphans and staff at the Homes.

If you would like to participate in a trip to Kenya please contact Jeff Harless
