God is really moving in our Student Ministry here at Blackhawk!

Not only have we grown numerically but we are seeing hearts being transformed by Christ. A critical part in that growth process is how God uses his people. We have an amazing group of Youth Coaches that are invested in the lives of students and families on a weekly basis.

One of those Youth Coaches is Mekenzie Buhr. She is a graduate of Blackhawk Christian School and Indiana University. The past three years she has served as a small group leader on Wednesday nights and is investing in the lives of Senior girls this year.

Mekenzie also helps lead our Sunday morning High School group each week. This is a time to dig into God’s Word together and her presence and involvement are greatly appreciated. She also has served faithfully at our ReFuel Fall Retreats, serving for the third year this fall!

Mekenzie brings a joy to any room that she enters into. That is so important when working with students who may be struggling. Her spiritual maturity combined with her heart for these girls makes for an incredible leader within our Student Ministry.
