On Thursday, October 15, Clinton Faupel will be leading a presentation for all of our students in the south campus Worship Center. This will take the place of our regularly scheduled chapel. The presentation will include an element of entertainment, via an illusionist, to engage our students.
We are thankful for the opportunity to provide this programming during a season of life when many people, including young ones, are struggling with anxiety, fears, and even depression. The program will include age appropriate education regarding:
*What mental health is and why it’s important to talk about our secret struggles with a trusted adult.
*How secret struggles start and why they can hurt our brain.
*What a trusted adult is and why students need a transparent relationship with them.
what friendship is, why we need each other, and what the network of care is around us.
Additional Information about the “Get Schooled Tour Jr.” can be found at GetSchooledTour.com/junior
including a video summarizing the purpose and intent of the program. If for any reason you do not want your child to participate in the program just let us know.
We will also live stream the event for parents who want to watch the 45-60 minute presentation from the comfort of their home.
