Revival Lessons from South Sudan
1 Peter 4:7-11
This Week on Blackhawk.FYI
We are looking forward to celebrating Easter this year with all of you. Our Good Friday service will start at 7:00 PM on Friday, April 2nd. We will be in person and online for all of our Easter weekend services. Easter morning (April 4th) you can join us at 8:00, 9:30, and 11:00.
Last week we shared several exciting new opportunities with our Go Team, like short-term mission trips to New York City in June, and a trip to Israel in 2022. They will have an informational meeting on March 14th for the NYC trip. The Go Team is also going to be offering an 8-week cultural intelligence class to help us better love our neighbors. This class will begin on Wednesday, April 14th from 6:30-8:00.
If you would like to learn more about the trips to Israel or New York City, or the Cultural Intelligence class, visit the GO table in the foyer and find all the information online at blackhawk.fyi.
Check out a recent post by Pastor Weaz with news on the young adult ministry that has started and is going strong. We encourage anyone post-HS through their 20s to join in.
Additional Reminders
Blackhawk Kids is still looking for volunteers to help on Sunday mornings! We need 20 people for first hour and 10 people for second hour. If you are able to help out, please contact Leah Hilton at [email protected]
Safe Families is looking for volunteers to put together freezer meals for the Northeast Safe Families chapter’s meal ministry, which provides meals to host families during their hosting. Blackhawk has gifted Safe Families resources to prepare freezer meals for our host families, and we’d love to have 5 volunteers join us on Saturday, March 20th from 9am to 1pm here at Blackhawk to prepare the ingredients and put together the freezer meals for the Safe Families meal ministry. Sign up by contacting Angie Study ([email protected]) or Valerie Burson ([email protected]).
BCS Theatre presents – “Live in Living Color: A Musical Revue”. This is a collection of some of the best songs from your favorite musicals – presented for the first time in the Blackhawk Worship Center! March 12-13 at 7:00 PM. Doors open 30 minutes before, and tickets can be purchased at the door.
Because of the move to this side of the street, we get the blessing of using an amazing LED wall (that has been rented for the musical) during our worship services for the next 3 weeks!
