We believe every woman is valued and loved by Jesus. May 4, 2021 at Blackhawk Ministries from 6:30-8:30pm will be time for connecting and encouraging women in every season of life. What a blessing it is to have these five women featured as panelist at THE WELL. They will be sharing how God is growing them in their current season of life and how they have remained rooted in Him.
Olivia Coats comes from a family who always put Christ at the center. She committed her life to Christ as a first grader at Blackhawk Christian School. Now, as a college student, she is using her foundation and growing in her faith. Lately, God is teaching her how rest is essential and to take time for Him. Olivia’s favorite verse is John 3:30 “He must become greater; I must become less”.
Emily Pearson remembers officially asking Christ into her life at camp in middle school. Reflecting on the darkest times of her life she sees that God is always by her side. She lives by the statement “I am the product of undeserved grace.” Emily is the mom of 3/4 children. As a single mom Emily wants her children to see God in her life. Emily’s favorite verse is Jeremiah 29:11. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Stacey Kurut first met Christ when she was asked to referee a christian youth basketball program in her early 20’s. As a referee for this program, she began going to church. During one service she heard the song “I Can Only Imagine”. Stacey became overwhelmed with the Holy Spirit and committed her life to Christ. Stacey is a wife and mom of five children. God has been growing and stretching Stacey in this season of life by leaning into His strength in the midst of anxiety and depression. Stacey’s favorite verse is Philippians 4:4-7. “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Tammy Crane was raised in a Christ centered home and always knew about God. In the 8th grade she took ownership of her faith and was baptized. Tammy knows that like us all, there are struggles in our circumstances, but in changing our attitudes and perspectives our minds are renewed on truth God has shown us. Tammy felt God leading her to the Four:10 Ministries where she currently serves as the Executive Director. Tammy, along with her husband, have three adult children and grandsons. 1 John 4:18 has been a verse that has been a favorite for many seasons of her life. “There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.”
Sue Maley was invited to a friend’s home on October 19, 1977 in New York when she, and her late husband Jim, first heard the truth of the gospel and the saving grace of God. Sue was married to Jim for 49+ years, the last 13 she was his caretaker. Now Sue is using her time to help others find joy in the Lord. Sue has been blessed with 4 children and 3 bonus children. Her joy is her 27 grandchildren and 10+ great-grandchildren. Sue’s favorite verse is Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways submit to him and he will make your paths straight.”
