A FREE event to start your new year right!
New Year, New Hope For You
Saturday, January 25, 2025 | 9am-12pm/noon | Blackhawk Ministries Foyer
Expect a morning filled with HOPE⚓ for the new year, encouragement from God’s Word, and physical exercises you can do at your own level—even in a chair—including cardio, strength training, flexibility exercises and balance training. Learn important tips for healthy eating and taste yummy breakfast bites and other delicious samples of nutrition-filled foods.
In addition, you will have time to chat with friends doing a fun craft, experience a MELT self-care hand massage which will help with aches and pains, and we will have a prayer table where you can share your requests and be prayed for.
Join us for the entire morning or part of it.

January Jumpstart 2025

8:30 am doors open, enter through the front door and check in at the welcome table in the foyer. Wear something comfortable and good supportive shoes. Bring a water bottle and hand-held weights if you have them.

9 am we will start with two Early Bird Cardio Workout Options:
join us for a ‘walk at your own pace’ indoors. Enjoy walking with a friend or meet someone new to walk with. We will lead you through a planned circuit around the building.
Join us to walk back to the Gathering Space where we will turn on some encouraging contemporary Christian music and start moving with a warmup followed by cardio moves that you can do at any level and finish with a cool down, then walk back to the foyer.

9:30 am – Grab breakfast bites and coffee in the foyer and find a spot to sit with friends.

9:45-10:15 am – Spiritual & Physical Wellness Focus – starting the new year with HOPE! We will share some encouraging Scriptures and devotional thoughts to encourage your soul as well as important benefits of taking care of your physical body.

10:15-10:45 am – Strength & Flexibility Workout in the foyer – We will lead you in strength, flexibility and balance exercises that can be done at all levels, including sitting in a chair. If you have hand-held weights you will use them here and we will have some extras available to share. You could even bring two soup cans to hold if you like and we will get them to a food pantry afterwards.

10:45-11:15 am – Nutritional and Emotional Wellness for the New Year – We will share nutritional tips for gaining energy, calming your body and your soul, and promoting longevity. We will also share truths about how God wants to set us free to live free.

11:15-12 noon – Relational Wellness in Action – at your own pace experience four options:

Make a Craft

Share a Prayer Request and pray with our team

Search Scriptures and write them down to take home with you

Try the MELT self-care hand treatment for easing aches and pains
