As part of the national movement of Safe Families for Children, SFFC Fort Wayne was launched in February of 2013 by a small team of dedicated volunteers with a passion to glorify God through the care of vulnerable families in our community. Since that time, we have had over 500 placements of children in our host family homes.
Our now larger team of volunteers is grateful to be able to serve our community by caring for children whose parents are facing difficult life circumstances. We know that ultimate hope can only be found in a relationship with Jesus Christ, and our desire is to walk alongside the hurting and hopeless in their time of need. We do this in the two-fold process of caring for children and helping parents overcome life challenges by identifying obstacles and setting tangible goals. In doing so, we strive to see parents strengthened so that children return to a more stable environment. Our purpose stems from the ultimate hope we have in Jesus Christ and our desire to share that hope as we build trust and true partnership with parents.
