Blackhawk Ministries is a bustling place with countless opportunities for you to learn, worship, grow, and belong together with our church family. We all understand that life can be a challenge, and that support from your church community can make all the difference We want to share in your joys and to help carry your burdens. Whether you’re seeking Christian fellowship and growth when the road is smooth, or have an earnest need when you hit a rough patch, we want to provide a safe place where you are loved and cared for.
If you’re in need of prayer for any reason, post on our Prayer Wall, where typically dozens of people pray for requests.

Ways to Respond During Difficult Seasons
In time when the world is responding with panic and chaos, God's people respond well by remaining calm,
praying first, filling our hearts with God's word, and increasing our generosity.
Go to God as your first priority, not your last resort. We believe God is working supernaturally while we are working naturally.
PRAYER TO PRAY
Most Gracious Father,
We place our confidence and hope in You.
We ask You for protection, healing, and provision.
We ask You for wisdom to know how we ought to conduct ourselves as the body of Christ before a watching world.
We ask that You would open our eyes to see ways to love our neighbor as ourselves.
We ask You to use these uncertain and difficult times to bring renewal to our homes and communities. We ask that, by the power of Your Spirit, You would draw people far from You to place their trust in Jesus.
In Jesus’ name,
Filling Our Hearts with God’s Word
The unshakable foundation for our lives is God’s Word. It is our source of wisdom, comfort, and faith. It helps defines our current reality and illuminate our path forward.
SCRIPTURES TO MEDITATE ON
“When you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down,
your sleep will be sweet.
Have no fear of sudden disaster
or of the ruin that overtakes the wicked,
for the Lord will be at your side
and will keep your foot from being snared.”
— Proverbs 3:24-26 NIV
God’s people don’t shrink from difficult times, instead, we react in faith believing that God uses our increased generosity to meet needs and shine a light of hope into the darkness people around us are experiencing.
One of the biggest ways you can help is to automate your giving. Set up recurring giving so that no matter how often we are able to gather, God’s work can continue

I have been in bed the past 8 days fighting strep throat. Fighting that has triggered another Fibromyalgia flare up. It is a struggle to even get out of bed. I really want to get back to church. I am so exhausted and I have barely walked this past week. I don't think I can handle the walking. I'm afraid of getting more depressed and back to not wanting to go anywhere. I am thankful I was directed to Blackhawk Ministries. I have been watching past videos of sermons. I appreciate your thoughts and prayers.

Dear Church Family,
We ask for your prayers in a truly difficult time. Last week Monday morning our 13 yo daughter Madison, was admitted to the local hospital after a failed suicide attempt. Her family is working to understand and process what has happened. We hope to remind Madison that this life is not her's to take and that she is very loved and valued by God and many people. We pray she feels that love. Currently we are working to find a faith based longterm intensive residential treatment facility for her as the family feels this is the best next step. We ask for prayers specifically for guidance in selecting the best place to meet Madison's needs, as well as her continued safety. We are all struggling to understand the why, please pray for us to have patience & grace as we move forward.
Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you" declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope
*Update* Madison has been discharged and is currently home. She returned to school today to dip her toes back into "normal" life. We received an email this morning stating she was accepted into the program at Crosswinds in the Dominican Republic. Pray for guidance as there is a large financial burden in sending her there. We ask for God to show us a wise financial plan in order to make this happen, if it be His will.
With heavy but hopeful hearts,
Marcia and Nick Buis, Todd, Emma, Ella, Chase, Elivia and Madison

I am asking prayer for my parents? They raised me and my three sisters in a Baptist church. My dad was a deacon and a Sunday school teacher. For some years they have been away from the Lord. I pray that they are drawn back close into the Lord. Prayers that they become close with God again. Fill their hearts with love and joy. Thank you
