Thank you Blackhawk family for joining efforts with other churches, businesses, and the Fort Wayne community to offer help to the victims of Hurricane Irma. We collected items to load a semi-trailer and sending it to help those impacted by Hurricane Irma in Florida.

Blackhawk is partnering with the Samaritan’s Purse. The Samaritan’s Purse is a nondenominational evangelical Christian organization providing spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world. Since 1970, Samaritan’s Purse has helped victims of war, poverty, natural disasters, disease, and famine with the purpose of sharing God’s love through His Son, Jesus Christ.
The first step in volunteering with Samaritan’s Purse is to complete an on-line Volunteer Application (see link below). This is a fairly simple process; and once approved, you can volunteer on very short notice in the future. You’ll find their webpage is easy to navigate; notice especially:
- Current Projects (great overview of current projects)
- Volunteer for a Project (to get approved for immediate or future projects)
- Sign-up for Text or Email Alerts (informs you immediately of new disaster needs)
