What do you do with 90 middle schoolers?

You take them to a FARM and you have a BLAST!

And that’s just what our DS3 Youth Ministry did last Wednesday night! Around 6:15 PM, the 5th–8th graders started arriving to the Raber Farm in Harlan, IN. They enjoyed a beautiful night playing nine-square, corn hole, volleyball, swimming in the pond, kickball, and just hanging out with friends. Everyone was busy! Check it out…

I had the privilege of sharing a short devotional on God’s provision. We had a pretty serious game of kickball going meanwhile at one point we counted over 40 kids in the water at once!
–Josh Raber, Youth Assistant Director

Also at the farm, we had 22 adult volunteers helping out… did I mention we had 90 middle school youth there? We are SO thankful for this amazing Youth Ministry team! These volunteers will continue investing in our youth each Wednesday night during the school year, and some will be small group leaders, meeting weekly with our 5th–8th graders (separated by age & gender).

God has truly blessed DS3 with some great kids and leaders, and we are excited to see what God has in store as we learn how to love God, love others, and live it out.
–Cheryl Pulver, Youth Director

If you missed the fun at the Raber Farm, no worries! You can catch DS3 (our Blackhawk Youth Ministry) every Wednesday night, 6:30–8 PM (DS3 Empowered) in the Gathering Space (located in the Primary BCS building) and every Sunday morning, 11–Noon (DS3 Grow) in the Auxiliary Gym (located in the Secondary BCS building). All 5th–8th graders are welcome!

“Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.” I Tim 4:12
