Welcome to Blackhawk Kids Children's Ministry! We exist to lift high the name of Jesus as we teach our children to love God's Word, to honor and glorify Him, to pray, to join in Christian community and to serve others.
AGES WE SERVE | Birth through 4th grade
SERVICE TIMES | Sunday mornings at 11:00 AM
CURRICULUM | "Blackhawk Kids uses The Gospel Project curriculum for all ages. It is a dynamic curriculum that’s sole focus is Jesus Christ. The Bible is not a collection of stories. It is one story of God's plan to rescue His people from sin and death. It is the story of redemption, the gospel message of Jesus Christ. And it's our story, too."
"But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God." – John 1:12
WHAT TO EXPECT I When your child attends Blackhawk Kids, they will learn and worship through music, relevant lessons, fun activities, and engage in small group time. We believe that small groups are such an important time for children to dig deeper in their faith, be in community with others, and to be known.
Blackhawk Youth (5th-8th)
What is DS3? Here at DS3, we want each student to feel welcomed, accepted, and know that God loves them! Each week in DS3 GROW (Sunday) and DS3 EMPOWERED (Wednesday), we are going to disciple students (DS) through games, worship, teaching, and small groups. It is our prayer that the DS3 youth group will help your student(s) (1) Love God (2) Love Others, and teach them how to (3) Live It Out.
In Matthew 22:37-39, The lawyer asked Jesus what he thought was the greatest commandment, “And he said to him, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'”
In I Timothy 4:12, Paul encourages young Timothy to be an example, “Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.”
So, what is DS3? It is a place to faithfully bring your student each week to build community and a place that other Christian leaders will invest in helping your child to love God, love others, and learn how to live it out during his or her teenage years.
