On December 9th, 2021, Blackhawk Women’s Ministries put on a special event called The Well. This event was designed to offer an opportunity for women to be filled through fellowship, laughter, music and more. The goal of the event was to touch hearts and honor God.
The theme of The Well was “Defiant Joy”. Emcee, Mimi Hicks said, “Defiant Joy means standing tall and refusing to surrender to obstacles and difficulties that sometimes infiltrate our lives.”
The event featured 60 women volunteers. Guest speakers for the event included Linda and Emily Pearson. They each shared their incredible testimonies of joy through hardship and overwhelming grace. Emily said, “If I could pass on ONE thing to women these days: God’s Grace is sufficient for each and every person… no matter what has happened in your life, no matter what you’ve done. God finds YOU worthy of His grace.”
The Well was an amazing night for women to take a break from the chaos of life to feel appreciated and to be encouraged.
